Brilliant rogue police investigator Harry Hole is back, this time as an outsider assembling his own team to help find a serial killer who is murdering young women in Oslo in the next novel in the New York Times best-selling series.

THE HUNT IS ON AND THE POLICE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. Two young women are missing, their only connection a party they both attended, hosted by a notorious real-estate magnate. When one of the women is found murdered, the police discover an unusual signature left by the killer, giving them reason to suspect he will strike again.

THEY’RE FACING A KILLER UNLIKE ANY OTHER. And exposing him calls for a detective like no other. But the legendary Harry Hole is gone-fired from the ore, drinking himself to oblivion in Los Angeles. It seems that nothing can entice him back to Oslo. Until the woman who saved Harry’s life is put in grave danger, and he has no choice but to return to the city that haunts him and track down the murderer.

CATCHING HIM WIH PUSH HARRY TO THE LIMIT. He’ll need to bring together a misfit team of former operatives to accomplish what he can’t do alone: stop an unstoppable killer. But as the evidence mounts, it becomes clear that there is more to this case than meets the eye…

SUMMARY: KILLING MOON

REVIEW: KILLING MOON

I am a huge fan of Jo Nesbo, and for a while, he was the only author I was reading. I read so many Jo Nesbo books that I ran out of books to read. So, I was beyond myself when I saw this bright treasure shining up at me from a bookshelf. A Jo Nesbo book I hadn’t read?!!! Could it be???

A few fun facts about Mr. Nesbo. He is the most successful Norwegian author of all time. He has has sold over 3 million copies of his novels in Norway and over 50 million copies of his novels worldwide.

Killing Moon is the 13th book in the Harry Hole series, and it’s just as good as every other Harry Hole book. In addition to his 13 Harry Hole books, Jo Nesbo has written 8 standalone thrillers, and they’re just as good as the Harry Hole books. You cannot go wrong with a Jo Nesbo novel.

I am the world’s greatest living crime writer. Nesbo is...snapping at my heels like a rabid pit bull poised to take over...when I dramatically pre-decease him...
— James Ellroy

I don’t know James Ellroy, and I’ve never read of any his books, but I love this quote by him, because yes, Jo Nesbo is this good. He is a brilliant writer. His stories feel effortless, authentic and fresh. With over 20 books under his belt, his books are still new and interesting.

Killing Moon starts with Harry Hole living far away from Oslo. He’s trying to put as much distance as possible between himself and his past, but the thing is, you can’t outrun your past...or your true self. So, Harry ends up back in Oslo doing what he does best…trying to catch a serial killer.

Killing Moon flows like a rushing river. It’s thrilling, exciting, unexpected, a little scary, but a real good time. . The plot is interesting with twists and turns that keep the reader on his/her toes…and just when you think you’ve figured it out, you quickly realize you haven’t. Jo Nesbo brings a cast of familiar characters together to tell a new and gripping story. The plot pulls you in and holds you hostage until the very end.

Killing Moon is a fantastic book. If you’re new to Harry Hole, I suggest starting with The Bat, which is the first book in the Harry Hole series. You will not be disappointed. If you’re a crime fiction enthusiast, a Nordic fiction aficionado, a fan of just a good book, then you should be reading Jo Nesbo. He really is one of my favorite authors. I have never been disappointed with a Jo Nesbo book.

I cannot say enough good things about Jo Nesbo, Harry Hole, and Killing Moon, so just do yourself a favor and go get the book.
